PSA-BENGUET CONDUCT THE 2022 CENSUS OF AGRICULTURE AND FISHERIES (CAF) DQATA COLLECTION FOR HOUSEHOLDS AND BARANGAY INTERVIEWS

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Banquet will be conducting the 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF) Household arid Barangay Interviews in September to October 2023. The CAF is e nationwide undertaking geared towards me collection and compilation of basic information on the agriculture and fisheries sectors of the country and shall be used in national and local development planning.

In the 2022 CAF, all households in the sample Barangay will be listed and interviewed and determine the presence of household members who were operators those who managed or operated a crop, Livestock, Poultry and/or Fishing activity during the period ofJanuary to 31 December 2022. Once identified, operators will be interviewed to collect data on the basic characteristics of their agricultural, aquaculture, and/or fishing activity using the Core
Questionnaires.

Moreover, a community – based questionnaire will be administered in all barangays. The questionnaire will collect information on the facilities. Input dealers, and service providers related to agricultural, aquaculture, and fisheries that are present/available in the barangay. The natural calamities experienced in the barangay during the past five years will also be gathered. The 2022 CAF is envisioned to achieve the following Objectives:

1. Determine the structured characteristics of agriculture and fishery sector in the country.

2. Provide sampling frame for the conduct of periodic agricultural and fishery surveys;

3. Provide basic data on agriculture, aquaculture. and fishing characteristics for use in the government’s national and beat development planning: and

4. Provide data on the agricultural. aquaculture and fishery facilities and services in the barangay.
With this, PSA-Benguet encourages everyone, especially the selected sample households, to please support and cooperate in the conduct of the said statistical activity.
