The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Benguet will be conducting the nationwide March 2025 Labor Force Survey (LFS) and Jobs and Skills Survey (JSS) this March. The LFS gathers data on the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the members of the household. It is the major source for labor force, employment, unemployment and underemployment which aims to provide a quantitative framework for preparation of plans and formulation of policies affecting the labor market.
The Jobs and Skills Survey (JSS) collects information on various topics such as job tasks and skills usage, employment working conditions, remote work, and adoptability to new technologies. Together with the LFS, the JSS will provide critical information to support the development of policies aimed at improving employment opportunities and workforce development. The third level training will be conducted for four days (March 4-7, 2025) to refresh the knowledge of the Statistical Researchers on the LFS concepts and definitions, survey design and survey
operations.
It is also aimed to introduce and familiarize on the Jobs and Skills Survey background, rationale, concepts and operational definitions, and questionnaires. The LFS and JSS enumeration period will be from 08 to 31 March 2025 with the Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) application as a method of data collection. Relative to this, PSA-Benguet encourages the selected sample households in Benguet including Baguio City to please support and
cooperate in the conduct of the said undertaking. Under Section 26 of Republic Act 10625, the household supplied
information will be held strictly confidential and the report cannot be used for purposes of taxation, investigation or
enforcement procedure, nor will be published except in the form of statistical summaries in which no reference to any individual person shall appear. The cooperation of every sample households in Baguio City and Benguet for this
undertaking is earnestly appreciated.
