PSA nagsasagawa ng mga survey sa labor force, family income sa Ilocos

LUNGSOD NG BAGUIO – Nagsasagawa ang Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) ng Labor Force Survey (LFS) at ng 2021 Family Income and Expenditures Survey (FIES) Visit 2 mula Enero 10 hanggang 31 samay 6,144 6,144 randomly selected sample households sa Ilocos Region.
Sa isang panayam sa telepono noong Lunes (Enero 10) ay tiniyak ni PSA Ilocos Region information officer Jim Ian Bautista na ang minimum public health at safety standards upang mapigilan ang pagkalat ng coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) ay mahigpit na ipatutupad sa lahat ng yugto ng field operations.
“The PSA appeals to the sample households to cooperate and provide truthful, complete, and accurate information to the enumerators as the respondents are assured that data to be collected in the survey shall be covered by the confidentiality of information clause under Section 26 of Republic Act 10625, or the Philippine Statistical Act of 2013, which stipulates that individual data furnished by a respondent to statistical inquiries, surveys, and censuses of the PSA shall be considered privileged information and such shall be inadmissible as evidence in any proceeding,” aniya.
Ang LFS ay isang quarterly survey sa buong bansa ng mga sambahayan upang makalikom ng mga datos sa demographic at socioeconomic characteristics ng populasyon.
“It also measures the current state of the country’s labor market and is used, among other things, to calculate national and regional employment indicators. It also provides statistics on levels and trends of employment, unemployment, and underemployment for the country,” dagdag niya.
Sinabi ni Bautista na ang FIES, sa kabilang banda ay lilikom ng mga datos sa income distribution at levels of living at spending patterns ng mga pamilyang Pilipino sa buong bansa.
“The second round of the FIES will gather data on income and expenditure of families for the second semester, or from July 1 to Dec. 31, 2021,” aniya.
