Quicksilver, world’s leading outdoor sports lifestyle company opens shop in SM Baguio.

This Australian-based company established in 1969- Quicksilver has opened up it’s 10th branch located at the lower ground floor of SM here. Known world-wide for its surfing clothes, Quicksilver products include apparel – board shorts, volley shorts, beach shorts, rashguards, amphibians, tees, polo, noodles, jackets and ROXY signature girl’s boardshort. The surf tees- guards against rash, protects from sun and other elements—UPF 50+ UVSun protection; Chlorine Resistant; Moisture Wicking, and made from recycled plastic bottles.

Others brands are footwear, bags, accessories like caps, duffle and dry bags, and also for kids. “Quiksilver has
maintained its commitment to quality and performance, around the world. Born on the beach, Quiksilver ’s core
concept of fashion with function has now been embraced by all who enjoy active outdoor lifestyles,” the company profile states. Made Better | Recycled Textile Waste. The company has an elaborate recycling process.

Made Better, the company’s commitment in creating less harmful products for the planet. It also uses new technologies to lessen carbon footprint. The company’s current Made Better initiatives include using recycled materials, organic cotton, and natural dyes within their collection. Recycled textile waste is it’s latest with their line.

Meanwhile, Harlene Sinoro Mella, Quicksilver’s Marketing Supervisor , who traveled to the city to lead the vibrant
opening of its shop said, their company has plans to open another store in La Union Province to further positioned
it’s brand further north especially in the town of San Juan where it’s beaches are internationally acclaimed for surfing.
