RESOLUTION ON SENIOR CITIZENS’ RIGHT TO DISCOUNT WITHOUT PURCHASE BOOKLET HAS BEEN APPROVED BY CONGRESS

The House of Representatives approved and adopted Cong. Mark Go’s authored House Resolution 2031, urging DOH to immediately remove the purchase slip booklet as a requirement for purchasing medicines for senior citizens. According to Cong. Mark, the requirement of a purchase booklet burdens senior citizens in claiming their much-deserved 20% discount on medicines and health related goods and services. With the adoption of his resolution, the DOH is instructed to review and reviseits administrative orders relative to senior citizen discounts, removing the purchase booklet requirement for senior citizens. ‘Mas madali nang makakuha ng gamot at ating Senior Citizens!
