The Cordillera People’s Alliance conducted a rally in February 10, 2017 at Peoples’ Park, Baguio City on the resumption of peace talks for the National Democratic Front of the Philippines and Government Republic of the Philippines that was terminated by President Rodrigo Duterte because of the failure of bilateral ceasefire between GRP and the NDFP. The CPA also demanded to free Sarah Abellon-Alekis who was arrested recently at Gibraltar without any warrant of arrest. She was accused during a hot pursuit for burning the truck of Philex Mines.
