RICE ASSISTANCE FOR BENGUET FARMERS

A total of 3,571 sacks of rice were distributed to the 13 Municipal Local Government Units of Benguet to support farmers affected by Typhoon Egay. During the turnover ceremony, Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas expressed his gratitude to President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. for his continued commitment in uplifting the agriculture sector through various farmer-focused programs and projects. The said distribution is the second tranche of food assistance provided under the Socio-Civic Project Fund of the Office of the President. The distribution was facilitated by the Provincial Agriculture Office led by Ms. Delinia Juan. Also present during the distribution were Kapangan Mayor Manny Fermin and Kibungan Mayor Cesar Molitas, together with representatives from the different Municipal LGUs.
