Rider Dead In Ilocos Sur Motorcycle-Jeep Smash-up

BAGUIO CITY (June 21, 2021) — A motorcycle rider was declared dead on arrival after his two-wheeled vehicle collided with an owner type jeep along the road of Barangay Dan-ar,  Santiago,  Ilocos Sur at around 5:30 Sunday.
The victim was identified as Manolito Fabricante Ducusin, 57, a resident of Barangay Padayao, Burgos, Ilocos Sur while the driver of the jeep was named as Sherman Egipto Bagay, 34, from Barangay Tablac, Candon City, also in  Ilocos Sur.
Santiago town police said the  owner type jeep was heading South when the motorcycle on the opposite direction occupied its lane prompting the collision.
Ducusin was reportedly thrown from his motorcycle upon impact prompting fatal injuries. He was immediately rushed to Candon City General Hospital,  but did not make it. The driver of the jeep is in police custody.
Also in Ilocos Sur,  a construction worker stabbed his colleague because of a misunderstanding over their salaries at minutes before midnight Sunday in Barangay San Juan,  Sta.  Lucia,  also in Ilocos Sur.
The victim was identified as Yasser Allani Mocsir,  39, and a resident of San Roque,  Quezon City while the suspect was named as Roger Saligumba Albareto, 47, from Barangay Tonsuya,  Malabon City. Both are temporarily staying at Barangay San Juan,  Sta.  Lucia.
Sta Lucia police said its personnel were patrolling in the area when the victim who was bleeding approached them telling them that he was stabbed by his co-worker.  The victim was rushed to the Candon City General Hospital for treatment as he sustained knife wounds on his hands and back.
The police went to probe at the crime scene and was able to catch the suspect nearby. Investigators found out that the victim had been allegedly cheating the suspect over their pay at the construction site. The suspect is now in police custody.
