SABLAN RECEIVE AWARDS AT THE 33RD LOCAL GOVERNMENT MONTH CELEBRATION

The municipality of Sablan recently received prestigious awards during the 33rd Local Government Month
Celebration held recently at Crown Legacy here. These awards are 1. Ideal Functionality of the Local Council for the Protection of Children (CY 2023): Recognizing effective initiatives aimed at safeguarding children’s rights and welfare. High Performing on Peace and Order (CY 2022 and 2023): Acknowledgment for outstanding efforts in
maintaining peace and security within the community.

High Functionality in the Assessment of Local Project Monitoring (CY 2023): Celebrating excellence in evaluating and monitoring local development projects. And High Performance of Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CY 2022 and 2023): Recognition for significant contributions to combating drug abuse and promoting community health. Mayor Alfredo Dacumos, Jr. together with other local officials – Operations Officer, Ms. Cecil D. Wagian, and the
Sangguniang Bayan (SB) members represented Sablan in receiving the recognition.

The recognition marked Mayor Dacumos’ administration policy -bring service closer to the barangays. It also demonstrate commitment to effective governance and community well-being, and collaborative efforts of the partners of the municipality which includes the whole community, religious sect., national government agencies, and stakeholders, the release states.
