Sagada Town Mayor Contracts Covid19

BAGUIO CITY – Sagada, Mountain Province Mayor James Pooten announced that his RT-PCR test result showed he is positive of Corona Virus Disease (Covid 19).
The result was released on March 26, 2021.
Pooten said he is asymptomatic.  He was advised by the Sagada municipal health office (MHO) to go on isolation. “Rest assured, I will continue to exercise my duties remotely in the best possible way,” he promised.
He appealed to those who have direct or close contact with him during the last 14 days to also isolate themselves immediately.  He also advised them to contact their barangay health emergency response team (BHERT) or the MHO for appropriate measures.
He also strongly urged the public to continue strictly observing minimum public health standards and always take the pandemic seriously. “I hope to see much fewer members of our communities be in this situation,” Pooten said.
As of 4:00 PM of March 26, 202, Sagada has 21 total Covid confirmed Covid cases. The town also listed a Covid related death of a 77-year old female who expired at St. Theodore’s Hospital in Sagada at 11:30 PM of March 26, 2021.
