Salda issues ”window period” for hardwares, auto, office stores

La Trinidad Mayor Romeo Salda on Friday (March 27) issued an executive order giving a window period for auto supplies, hardware, office supply and electrical stores to operate.
Based on the Executive Order (EO) N. 15 series of 2020, signed by the mayor, which a copy was published on Mayor Salda’s Facebook account, set a window period for those business establishments to operate on April 1 (Wednesday) to April 2 (Thursday), from 8AM to 5PM.
“In view of the COVID-19 threat and to contain its spread in the community this Office has issued Executive Order No. s of 2020, DIRECTING THE CLOSUREOF ESTABLISHMENTS NOT PROVIDING BASIC NECESSITIES,” states an earlier order.
“On the 11th day of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), however,stocks for use at the municipal hall, other offices and residential homes have already been depleted or are nearing depletion,” stated the new measure.
The new EO further states :” There is a need of replenishing office supplies to be used for Information Education Communication (IEC),spare parts for maintenance of vehicles being used by frontliners,essential utility workers and those transporting supplies to critical offices and all other supplies to be used at the residential homes.”
Under the new EO, it reiterates that hardware store is not allowed to sell construction materials following the earlier order “temporary suspension of construction both public and private.
