Scion Of Drug Dealing Family Fall In Baguio Sting

BAGUIO CITY (January 31, 2021) – Anti-narcotics agents cornered Sunday morning the son of a notorious drug suspect, who like his mother,  had been supplying small-time drug users like drivers, laborers and small-time criminals in various villages here.

John Patrick Penamente, son of a drug suspect caught in 2016 and 2019, fell into a dragnet operation at East Quirino Hill barangay after he sold a packet of shabu to an undercover agent of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Baguio.

“Drug business became the way of life for the family,”  lamented Cordillera PDEA director Gil Castro.   The family had become infamous for their drug dealing trade, a business that runs in the family, he added.

“The most alarming were the selling of these drugs in small packets that may be afforded by small timers, once they are high on drugs, they would do unimaginable thing that endangers public safety.  So we need them to be locked up” Dir. Castro said while hailing PDEA-Baguio operatives led by Intelligence Agent 1 Reinier Tinong for their success.
