Senator Christopher Bong Go renewed his call especially to barangay officials to bring government services closer to the communities. Senator Go was the special guest in the recent convention of Liga ng Barangay Zambales held at the Baguio Convention Center here. Go urged barangay officials in general to keep their office open. He stressed that
its in the barangay that people first seek for help. By doing so, Go, together with senatorial bet Philip Salvador, expressed his full support to them ,noting their expanded services to their constituents.
Go, is the principal author and sponsor of Republic Act No, 11463 or the Malasakit Centers Act of 2019, which
institutionalized the Malasakt Centers program. He also scored on his health programs and initiatives like the establishment of halfway houses which provide a type of transitional lodging and families undergoing medical treatments far from their homes. Furthermore, establishment of regional special health facilities like that of Heart-Lung Centers,and Super Health Center, providing laboratory exams such as x-rays ,among others. He also reported that in Luzon it has now 93 Malasakit Centers. Midday , Go motored to city motor pool, and met hundreds of elderly people.
