Senior citizens hold holy mass for Marawi City

BAGUIO CITY- Senior Citizens from the Baguio Elderly Assembly (BEA) holds Holy Mass for peace and solidarity for Marawi City held at the Shrine of Brown Madonna at Kilometer 7, Asin Road, Tuba, Benguet, last Sunday.
A core of elderly and a group of young boys and girls prayed together for lasting peace and solidarity for Marawi City.
Veteran Journalist Nars Padilla, event chairman, said the holy mass is in honor of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and policemen, including the 11 Philippine Marine victims of friendly gunfire and other victims of terrorist attack in Mindanao and other parts of the country. The holy mass which is also offered to civilian victims was celebrated by Rev.Fr. Alejandro Bangilan, formateur of the San Pablo Seminary at Barangay Crystal Cave Baguio City.
The religious affair is also to appreciate the Eid’l Fitr, the activity of Muslim with whom Filipinos are praying for peace, harmony and progress of the country.
The special event which is supported by the Office of the City Social Services, Office of the Senior Citizens Affair and the National Correspondents Club of Baguio (NCCB) ended with the release of ceremonial 66 golden colored balloons to symbolize an ending quest for national reconciliation and unity people as a nation.
