“Shy” Baguio Hotelier Offers Hotel As COVID19 PUI Containment Center

BAGUIO CITY (March 20, 2020) — A Baguio hotelier though shying away from any publicity has offered his 34 room hotel along Legarda Road as a containment center for COVID 19 PUIs with mild symptoms in the city.
The owner of the Lindi Hotel offered his establishment for free to the city, a grateful Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong announced Friday morning.
The hotel, which has complete lodging facilities, had been inspected recently by City Administrator Bonifacio Dela Peña and City Health Officer Rowena Galpo.
Installation of the required medical equipment, housekeeping system and other provisions needed have been complete hoping it becomes operational starting Friday (March 20, 2020).
According to the DOHCAR, Baguio City has 9 PUIs safely and securely admitted in health facilities here.
All 6 hospitals in Baguio City including the state-run Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center vowed they are closely meeting and coordinating to ensure containment and prevent further infections.
