Mountain Province Governor Bonifacio Lacwasan Jr. and Kalinga Governor James Edubba signed a peace agreement for the resolution of conflict and settlement of boundary tribal disputes specifically between the Betwagan tribe of Sadanga, Mountain Province and Butbut tribe of Tinglayan, Kalinga during the commemoration of the 36th Sipat Peace Accord at the historic Mount Data Hotel in Bauko, Mountain Province on September 13, 2022. The historic peace agreement signing were witnessed by Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPPAPRU) Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. OPAPRU Peace Adviser Thomas Kilip and Mountain Province Administrator Franklin Odsey.
