SM Rosales staff joins Brigada Eskwela 2017

SM Rosales’s staff and volunteers took a special trip to Li Seng Giap Elementary School for Brigada Eskwela 2017 on May 20, 2017.
Equipped with tubs of paints and brushes, SM volunteers together with the teachers, students and parents exhibited bayanihan by cleaning and recoloring the furnishings of the school before the formal classes start on June.
Students whose families are members of the government Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) also received school supplies.
School Principal Jessenelle C. Dion expressed her gratitude in behalf of the students. She said most of their students belong to the low-income families. That is why the school supplies they received are very helpful in their studies.
Principal Dion also stated that the repainting of tables and chairs will be beneficial to the school operations.
“Nagpapasalamat po kami sa maagang pamasko ng SM,” said Dion.
The school’s clean up and beautification effort was spearheaded by the Human Resource Department of SM City Rosales with the collaboration of SM Cares and Department of Education.
Brigada Eskwela is one of the frontline initiatives of Department of Education primarily conducted in the public schools nationwide. The activity aims to bring together teachers, students, parents and community members in preparing the school for the incoming school openings. KRISTINE SANTIAGO / PR / ABN
