Some 140 parbusters across the country will be seeing action on November 14 at the par-72 Pinewoods Golf and Country course in Tuba, Benguet. This 8th edition of the tournament is organized by Philex Miners Golf Club. Inc.-Philex Mines. Lawyer Eduardo Aratas of Philex Mining said this cause-oriented and fund-raising golf tournament is to provide scholarship program of sons and daughters of the employees of the private mining firm.

To date, the scholarship program have already benefitted eight full-pledge (licensed) engineers and currently employed in Philex Mines. The Molave Scoring System will be used in the tournament, which have attracted 30 sponsors. A total of P100k cash price will be awarded to lucky shotmakers who will shot an ace on designated hole-in one.
