THE BCBC GIVES THANKS

The Baguio Correspondents and Broadcasters Club Incorporated (BCBC) ended 2024 giving thanks to partners and stakeholders and giving back to the community. For the Yuletide, the media club embarked on a weeklong activity on December 15th to the 22nd which was highlighted by a gift giving for underprivileged children at the DSWD Wangal
Reception and study Complex followed by a Media – Multisectoral Mapping of 2025 activities and capped by a BCBC
Thanksgiving set at Hotel Supreme.

The gathering converged media practitioners from radio, TV, Print and online sites for a night of camaraderie and celebration. Likewise, the BCBC hailed veteran journalists Eliral Refuerzo and March Fianza the prestigious BCBC Lifetime Achievement Award for their extraordinary contributions to the media industry. The BCBC is the longest running media club in the North of Manila, estimated to be founded in 1964 bringing together members of the tri
media both to improve the profession and help in nation building through responsible journalism.

On December 21, the media club with a pooled donation drive was able to give 12 kilos of spaghetti noodles, 10 kilos of spaghetti sauce, biscuits, 12 packs of assorted diapers, 4 packs of Nestogen for 23 abandoned, abused and orphaned children at the DSWD Wangal RSCC. The BCBC has been a partner of the city and the region in delivering the news as well as promotion and at this milestone, we recognize your contribution and support to press freedom and community journalism.

Hotel and Restaurant Association of Baguio, Baguio Water District, Benguet Electric Cooperative The BCBC is known for the annual search for the Baguio Benguet Lucky Summer Visitor (LSV), an where a group of first time visitors is treated to a 4day and 3night red carpet tour of Baguio and Benguet.

Elena Catajan, Treasurer, and Mauricio Victa, Auditor; with Board of Directors; Roderick Osis, Harley Palangchao, Frank Cimatu, Aldwin Joseph Quitasol and Joseph Cabanas as Ex-Officio Member, Business Managers Jordan Tablac and Zaldy Comanda.
