Thief caught in the act in Benguet

LA TRINIDAD, BENGUET – A 38-year old man was caught red-handed as he was stealing a cellular phone from the opened bag of his victim in front of Benguet General Hospital, Km. 5, Pico, La Trinidad Benguet on January 31.
In a report from the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station, the victim identified as Lenie M. Colcol, a resident, was walking toward the hospital around 9:50a.m. when she noticed that her back pack is getting heavier. She looked back and saw the suspect, identified as Ronnel Bojo Gayligan, a native of Tayabas Rizal and currently residing in P. Burgos, Baguio City.
The victim claimed that she continued walking but she noticed that the suspect kept following her, prompting her to check her bag and was surprised to see that it was opened and the suspect is already holding her Vivo phone amounting to P12,990.
She grabbed the suspect’s shirt and asked for help from the passers-by to bring the suspect to the police station. LALAINE T. PAYAY, UB INTERN
