The 13th HEALTHIER Benguet Caravan of the Provincial Government of Benguet, under the leadership of Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas, was joined by nearly 2,000 residents of La Trinidad on Friday, January 17, at the Benguet Sports Complex in Wangal. With numerous services available, the program aims to bring government services closer to people and improve the well-being of i-Benguet. The caravan featured medical-dental services
including minor surgeries like circumcision and incision, consultation, ultrasound, laboratory services, ECG, and Xray.
Additional services included paralegal services for simple notarization of documents and legal advising, veterinary
services for spaying and neutering, consultation, Anti-rabies vaccination, deworming, and treatment of pets and farm animals, Real Property Tax collection, distribution of Fertilizers and seedlings, and various mobile services from partner agencies. Among the partner agencies were the Philippine Statistics Authority(PSA) for the issuance of National ID and certificates, Philhealth for Philhealth Konsulta, the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) for renewal of PRC ID and certification/ authentication of documents, and Philippine National Police-Civil Security
Unit-CAR for the issuance of License to Own and Possess Firearms.
Governor Diclas expressed his gratitude to all offices and partner agencies for making the caravan possible, highlighting the importance of making essential services more accessible to the public. Also in attendance were
Board Members Marie Rose T. Fongwan-Kepes and Joel Tingbaoen Jr., and Mayor Romeo K. Salda. The caravan is expected to continue to benefit more individuals, particularly in identified barangays that are farther from accessible
services.
