Three Caught Sneaking Liquor Into Quirino Province

BAGUIO CITY(May 27, 2020) –  Three were brought to the jail on Tuesday night after allegedly trying to sneak in at least 60 boxes of gin even with the ban still in effect in Diffun town in Quirino province.
Driver Edgar Berba, 49, from barangay Puzon, Rosario, La Union; helpers Roger Roy Dela Rosa, 27 from barangay Carunoan East, also in Rosario, La Union and Noel Dennis, 27 from Sison, Pangasinan, were taken to the police station after policemen found them sneaking in 60 boxes of Ginebra San Miguel gin to Diffun town.
Cagayan police director Brig. General Angelito Casimiro said the trio were aboard a closed Isuzu Elf van bearing plate number NDM 6195 with the boxes of gin when policemen noticed the boxes of the banned cargo upon careful checking on the van.
The three, Casimiro said, will face violations of of Art. 151 of RPC, RA 11332 and EO 008 series of 2013 (Liquor Ban)
