Three HVI collared in drug bust operation in Pangasinan and Ilocos Sur

CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO – Two High Value Individuals (HVIs) who are in the Narco-list of PDEA and Pangasinan PPO were arrested while some P340,000.00 worth of illegal drugs were seized in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by members of PDEA RO1 – Pangasinan Provincial Office, Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 1 (RPDEU1), Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), and Calasiao Police Station at Brgy. San Miguel, Calasiao, Pangasinan, around 3:30 pm of December 18.
PBGen. Rodolfo Azurin,Jr., regional director, identified the arrested suspects as Mark Joseph Umali Abot, 32, a resident of Europa Legarda, Baguio City and Salvador Pasalo Estaris, 38, a resident of Brgy. Palguyod, Pozzorubio, Pangasinan.
Azurin said that the police were able to confiscate from their possession the following items: 1 piece heat-sealed transparent sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu with an estimated weight of 50 grams and DDB of P340,000.00; 1 piece brown envelope;1 piece brown paper bag;1 unit and key for Toyota Hi-Ace Commuter Van (white); 1 unit gray Asus Android Cellular phone with simcard; 1 piece One Thousand Peso genuine money and 149 pieces of one thousand peso boodle money used as buy-bust money.
The suspects are currently under the custody of PDEA-Pangasinan, while cases for violation of Sections 5 and 15 of Article II of RA 9165 are being readied for filing at the court.
Another HVI was collared by joint operatives of RPDEU1, ISPDEU, Regional Intelligence Division-PRO1, Provincial Intelligence Unit-Ilocos Sur, PDEA ISPO, Cabugao MPS, 2ND Ilocos Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company and Maritime Cabugao Precinct, through the implementation of a Search Warrant issued by Hon. Judge Homerjay Ragonjan, 7:30 a.m of December 22 at Brgy. Sisim, Cabugao, Ilocos Sur.
Azurin identified the suspect as Anthony Ragudo Sardenia, 28, listed as HVI/Regional Top Priority Target under COPLAN “Dark Horse” of Cabugao MPS and PDEA Target List.
The operation yielded approximately one gram of shabu with an estimated DDB value of P6,800.00. Suspect is now under the custody of Cabugao MPS while charges for violation of Sections 1 and 5 of RA
The Police Regional Office 1 continues to step up its drive on Anti-Illegal Drugs Operations with a total of 26 operations conducted in the whole region for the period of December 14-20, 2020. Said operations resulted in the arrest of one Regional Top priority Target in Ilocos Sur; two High Value Individual and 22 not listed drug personalities in Pangasinan and confiscation of a total of 73.8806 grams of shabu with DDB value of P502,388.08 and a total of 99.582 grams of dried marijuana leaves with DDB value of P11,949.84; two firearms and two hand grenades.
“The series of these arrests are in compliance with our President and the PNP leadership’s continuous campaign against illegal drugs. There will be no let-up anti-illegal drug operations until this region is free from all forms of illegal drugs,” Azurin said further.
