Employees at the Mill Division of Philex Mining Corp.’s gold-and-copper operations, in this town’s Sitio Padcal, Brgy. Camp 3, pose for a souvenir photo with the newly delivered Scooptram, the first of five units that the company has ordered from the Swedish industrial company Atlas Copco, to help improve its production. At P30 million each, the ST14 Scooptram is used as a hauler, loader, and dumper in underground mining operations. Another unit is expected to arrive toward the end of June while two other units are expected to be delivered by July and, the last unit, in August. Padcal had ordered the new Scooptrams as it would retire five of its seven old units. PR
