Valuing summer time

It’s summer time! Teachers here we come!
Summer time is usually the time for teachers to relax and spend time with their families.
During summer time some teachers are engaged in various indoor and outdoor activities. Recreational activities like biking, hiking, trekking, swimming, going at the park, meeting with friends, wellness exercises and my more are just some of the activities that teachers do.
Others spend their most valuable time with their families. This is really the moment when teachers have to do all these activities.
As a teacher, I do believe that summer time is meant to be enjoyed. If we don’t enjoy summer while it’s around, then we’re really doing ourselves an injustice.
We must find time to enjoy our summer time because the memories that we create are likely to keep us going for the rest of the year.
Finding a break for ourselves bond us with our families.
According to experts, we often think so much but never find time to make things happen. Negativity eats up our time. Sometimes we focus on the negative aspects more than the positive ones.
Negative thinking tries to keep us at the same place. So, we should start shifting our focus from “What cannot be done” to “What can be done”.
This summer, we are given the privilege to have our vacation, so we should spend it meaningfully doing meaningful things. We should think of what can be done.
Moreover, we can do really a lot during summer time. It can be physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual in nature. Through excellent planning and time management, we can attain our goals.
A good thing that we should understand during summer time is not spending the time for unnecessary things but investing in it. We should value our summer time and live the best that we can be.
Remember that we, teachers, are humans too. We need time to refresh ourselves from the stresses of the teaching world.
