Yap seeks full term as solon, assure more projects for Benguet

Benguet legislative caretaker Eric Go Yap filed his certificate of candidacy on Oct. 5, seeking his first term as a regular representative of the province. Yap, in filing his CoC ensured the delivery of basic health services and the continued funding for all the projects started under his term.
The solon will be running under United Benguet, a local party he formed together with incumbent Governor Melchor Diclas who also filed his re-election bid togther with Yap.
“Ngayong pandemic, marami tayong tinutulungan at hindi tayo pwede basta bastang iwan natin yung probinsya sa gitna ng pandemic,” Yap told reporters.
Yap added although he may not be born in Benguet, he has learned to love the people and has embraced the culture. “Yung pagmamalasakit at pagmamahal sa probinsya nasa atin.
Nagfile po tayo para tuloy – tuloy po ang serbisyo sa tao,” added Yap. Prior to his filing, Yap on Oct. 4 donated to the 13 municipalities including Benguet General Hospital 4×4 ambulances, boosting their response in times of emergency.
Yap, together with Diclas turned over the ambulance, capable of traversing the province’ terrain, to all the mayors of the 13 municipalities and representatives from the BeGH. Yap clarified the ambulance equipped with medical kits, was sourced out from the donation of his father, which was earlier promised to the different chief executives of the 13 towns.
“Instead of using it for the campaign of United Benguet, naisip namin na gamitin na lang yung pera para ipambili ng ambulansya. Win-win situation ito para sa Benguet ano man ang mangyari sa election,” Yap said. Yap added these ambulances will greatly speed up the delivery of quality health care services to the residents of Benguet.
