10 district health centers may lisensya na bilang primary health care facilities

LUNGSOD NG BAGUIO – Sampu sa 16 na district health centers ng lungsod ang nabigyan ng mga lisensiya na mag-operate bilang primary health care facilities (PCFs) ng Department of Health sa pagsunod sa mga requirement ng Republic Act (RA) No. 11223 o ang Universal Health Care (UHC) Act.
Ang mga district health centers ay ang Asin sa pamumuno ni Medical Officer Dr. Anna Marie Banta; Atab sa ilalim ni Dr. Carla Tabin; Atok Trail sa ilalim ni Dr. Catherine Posadas; City Camp sa ilalim ni Dr. Nelson Hora; Engineers Hill sa pamumuno ni Dr. Helen Colewan; Irisan sa ilalim ni Dr. Vanessa Fagcangan; Lucban sa ilalim ni Dr. Maria Lourdes Pakoy; Pacdal sa ilalim ni Dr. Edna Tabooy; Pinsao sa ilalim ni Dr. Elvira Belingon; at Quirino Hill sa pamumuno ni Dr. Marie Therese Sumbillo na tinanggap ang kanilang mga lisensiya mula sa DOH Cordillera sa pangunguna ni Regional Director Dr. Rio Magpantay, Licensing, Regulation and Enforcement Division Chief Dr. Virginia Narciso at DOH Baguio City Office DMO Jennifer Valenzuela sa seremonya ng City Hall flag-raising noong Abril 4.
Bilang lisensiyadong mga PCF, ang mga health center ay awtorisado na ngayon na magdeliver ng initial-contact, accessible, continuous, comprehensive at coordinated care sa mga komunidad na kanilang pinagsisilbihan.
Accredited din sila bilang “Konsulta” package provider ng Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) at maaari na ngayon magbigay ng individual-based health services kabilang ang initial and follow-up primary care consultations, health screening and assessment at access sa mga piling diagnostic services and medicines.
Pinuri ni Mayor Benjamin Magalong ang City Health Service Office sa ilalim ni Dr. Rowena Galpo para sa kanilang sigasig sa pagpapanatili na maging tumutugon ang public health care system ng lungsod sa mga pangangailangan ng mga residente.
Sinabi niya na ang konsulta package ay isang mahalagang programa dahil sa hamon na dulot ng coronavirus disease (COVID-19) at iba pang mga sakit.
Nasunod ng mga pasilidad ang mga requirement na hinihingi sa ilalim ng DOH Administrative Order No. 2020-0047 o ang Rules and Regulations Governing the Licensure of Primary Care Facilities in the Philippines alinsunod sa Section 27 ng UHC Act na nag-uutos sa DOH na “institute a licensing and regulatory system for stand-alone health facilities including those providing ambulatory and primary care services and other modes of health service provision.
Ang PCF regulation ay bahagi ng layunin ng UHC Act na siguruhin ang tanging kaligtasan at de-kalidad na pangunahing serbisyo sa pangangalaga ay naihahatid sa bawat isang Pilipino.
