15k na trabaho ng DOLE Labor Day job fair

LUNGSOD NG DAGUPAN, Pangasinan – Nasa 15,000 local at overseas job opening ang naghihintay para sa mga naghahanap ng trabaho sa gagawing Labor Day job fair sa Pangasinan na inorganisa ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Ilocos.
Sinabi ni DOLE Ilocos regional director Nathaniel Lacambra na ang dalawang job fair ay gagawin sa probinsiya sa Mayo 1 – una sa Magic Mall sa Urdaneta City mula alas-8 ng umaga hanggang alas-5 ng hapon at ang isa naman ay gaganapin sa Provincial Employment Services Office (PESO) compound mula alas-5 ng hapon hanggang alas-12 ng hatinggabi.
Sinabi ni Lacambra na humigit kumulang 70 mga lokal na employer at lisensiyadong mga ahensiya ang maghahandog ng halos 8,000 bakanteng trabaho sa Magic Mall job fair habang may 21 lokal na employer at mga lisensiyadong ahensiya ang inaasahan namang magbibigay ng 7,000 bakanteng trabaho sa night job fair.
“Labor Day is a fitting opportunity to recognize the valuable contribution of our workers in the development of the country and to muster greater support from various sectors to further the goals of decent work,” pahayag ni Lacambra.
Gayundin, sinabi niya na ang job fair ay bahagi ng patuloy na pagpupursige ng DOLE na padaliin ang paghahanap ng trabaho ng mga tao sa pagdadala sa isang lugar ng mga kompanya na nangangailangan ng mga manggagawa.
“The DOLE works to make it easy and fast for jobseekers to find jobs that fit their qualifications, interests and career inclinations while helping employers find the right applicants for their manpower needs,” aniya.
Itatampok sa Magic Mall job fair ang mga nagungunang lokal na bakanteng trabaho gaya ng production operator, customer service representative at technical support representative.
Sa overseas job order naman ay nangunguna ang skilled construction worker, hotel and restaurant worker, at iba pang skilled worker.
“Various services will be made available for the diverse needs of workers, including job seekers and fresh graduates. We are encouraging all of them to take advantage of the opportunities to be
offered,” dagdag niya.
Magkakaroon din ng “one-stop employment services” na handog ng Social Security System; Philippine Health Insurance Corporation; Pag-IBIG Fund; Overseas Workers Welfare Administration; Philippine Overseas Employment Administration; Professional Regulation Commission; National Conciliation and Mediation Board; Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board; at ang National Labor Relations Commission.
