2024 OCCUPATIONAL WAGES SURVEY (OWS)/2023 & 2024 INTEGRATED SURVEY ON LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT (ISLE)

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is currently conducting the 2024 Occupational Wages Survey (OWS) and the 2023 and 2024 Integrated Survey on Labor and Employment (ISLE) which started on 19 September until 30 November 2024 for the province of Benguet and Baguio City. The OWS measures the wage differential across
occupations and industries in the country. It likewise determines inequalities in typically low-wage occupations and high-wage occupations among workers.

The OWS indicator on Average Monthly Occupational Wage Rates of Selected Occupations is also one of the variables listed under the Special Data Dissemination Standard (SDDS) of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) where the Philippine government commits to regularly generate and disseminate in observance of good dissemination practices. On the other hand, the Integrated Survey on Labor and Employment (ISLE) is a modular
survey that integrates concerns related to employment, workers’ welfare and protection and labor relations.

The ISLE is one of the major sources of core labor statistics as prescribed under International Labour Statistics Convention (C160) and the supplementary Labour Statistics Recommendation (R170) for ratifying countries to
generate data related on employment, labor standards and labor relations. Data generated from the ISLE are also included in the Decent Work Statistics (DeWS) – Philippines which assessed the implementation of decent work
in our country. Further, the data generated on the module on occupational injuries and diseases is included in the list of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) indicators under Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).

The PSA will utilize Self-Administered Questionnaires (SAQ) as the primary method of collection. PSA-Benguet
Provincial Statistical Office hired Statistical Researchers (SRs) to distribute and collect the 2024 OWS/2023 and 2024 ISLE accomplished questionnaires. The PSA adheres to the principles of transparency, legitimate purpose, and
proportionality pursuant to R.A. No. 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and R.A. No. 10625 or the Philippine Statistical Act of 2013. All information gathered on the survey are confidential and not for disclosure unless authorized by law. Moreover, PSA will release data only in the form of summaries or statistical tables. The PSA appeals and enjoins the public to support the on-going 2024 Occupational Wages Survey (OWS) and 2023 and 2024 Integrated Survey on Labor and Employment (ISLE)
