Father and son Jet and Josh Ramos, 2nd left and left, finished second in their divisions in the country’s oldest triathlon event, the Subic International Triathlon – Asian Cup recently at the former American base land.
Also completing the podium in the elite division is Maynard Pecson, right, who finished third and behind Josh. Also in the photo is Lou Anne Ramos, the matriarch of the Ramos family and whose two younger sons, Dash and Arrow, are also in the sport. Pecson, the Ramos couple says, is like their adoptive son, thus this “family” photo.
The Ramos family was recently given a citation by the province of Benguet for their contributions to the sport in the Benguet CARES (Cordillera Athletics Excellence in Sports).
