CIDG-CORDILLERA Arrested Two (2) Regional Level Most Wanted Persons and One (1) Provincial Level Most Wanted Person in the Cordillera Region including 12 other wanted persons in just 2 weeks of Manhunt Operations

BAGUIO CITY

First to be arrested by CIDG Baguio CFU on January 11, 2024 was the No.1 Most Wanted Person Regional Level who is facing a crime of Rape (3 counts) in relation to RA7610 by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued on January 30, 2006 by Hon. Iluminada Cabato-Cortes, Judge, Regional Trial Court, First Judicial Region, Branch 59, Baguio City issued with NO BAIL recommended. The accused was hiding for almost 18 years in the different regions in the country until he was eventually collared recently at about 8:00PM last January 11, 2024 at Bugallon, Aurora Hill, Baguio City.

Same unit also arrested the No. 2 Regional Most Wanted Person in this Region on or about 3:20PM of January 15, 2024 in Sta. Barbara, Iba, Zambales. The 57-year-old female accused is facing charges for violations of PD1920 and Four (4) Counts of Estafa at the sala of Hon. Abraham B. Borreta, Judge, Regional Trial Court, First Judicial Region, Branch 59, Baguio City who issued Warrant of Arrest on January 27, 1997 with No Bail recommended for CC No. 13744 and Php24,400.00 for CC Nos. 13745-R to 13748 respectively.

The accused was eventually arrested after hiding for almost 3 decades in different places in the country until her arrest. In the afternoon of January 14, 2024, Abra PFU arrested the No.2 Provincial Most Wanted Person for the First Quarter CY 2024 during a police operation in Brgy.
Guimba, San Juan, Abra. The accused who is a 24-year-old male was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by HON. GERMAN FABRO BALLESTEROS, Presiding Judge, Branch 1, Regional Trial Court, First Judicial Region, Bangued, Abra with No Bail recommended.

Finally, twelve (12) other wanted persons were also arrested by CIDG Cordillera facing various offenses/crimes. Due to the good accomplishments of PFUs, PCOL LEON P TALLEO, Regional Chief lauded his personnel involved in the said operations and encouraged them to arrest more persons engaged in illegal activities especially those Most Wanted Persons with Warrants of Arrest.
