Mankayan, Benguet – Lepanto Consolidated Mining Company employees with villagers planted at least 1,500 Benguet pine tree seedlings in barangay Sapid, Mankayan in celebration of the Arbor Day in the country on June 25.
For years, Lepanto has been supporting the National Greening Program through its reforestation projects.
Lepanto’s re-greening program started decades ago, and has planted over 6.5 million trees over an area of 800 hectares.
