ASSASSIN KILLS ABRA BARANGAY TREASURER

CAMP BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet –A barangay treasurer of Lanag, Lacub, Abra was gunned down by still unidentified suspect while on his way home last Thursday afternoon along Nagsayangan, Talodtod road in Langangilang town.
Police investigator identified the victim as Fidel Lalugan who sustained multiple gunshot wounds, while the tricycle driver named as Geraldick Mallare, 26, was also wounded in the gun attacked.
Police said that the victim was onboard a tricycle on his way home to Zone 1 in Bangued Abra when the unidentified suspect or suspects fired at them.
Responding policemen from Abra Provincial Police office brought the wounded victims to the Abra Provincial Hospital for medical treatment.
Attending physician Dr. Belmor Bernal disclosed that Lalugan was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police are now on hot pursuit of the suspect or suspects.
