The summer breeze just got luckier! Seven individuals including a three-year old kid were selected as the 2025 Lucky Summer Visitors, an annual tourism program of the Baguio Correspondents and Broadcasters Club Inc. (BCBC). The ‘Lucky Seven’ are – Celestino family from Pasig City–Ricardo Celestino Jr., 62, a skilled carpenter, and his wife Carolyn Andres Celestino, 57, a dedicated housewife. Joining them are their daughter Julia, 11, and niece Eunice, 13, both students eager to swap city life for strawberry-picking escapades in La Trinidad’s famed farms. Completing the lucky seven are partners Jellyn Bautista, 31, an admin assistant, and Jerome Celestino, 30, a customer service representative, accompanied by their adorable 3-year-old nephew, Eugin.

Their first time adventure in the Summer Capital begun at 3 AM ‘Holy Thursday ‘ from Cubao on board Victory Bus Plate No. NAZ 2113. The first time visitors were selected on the ninth attempt at 8:21AM at Flying V Gas Station in Pugo, La Union “This is destiny — seven lucky visitors for 2025, and we are seven!” Jellyn exclaimed, promising a memorable family bonding experience filled with leisure and laughter. The event kicked off with a warm welcome from BCBC President Dionisio Dennis Jr., who acknowledged the generous support of sponsors including the City Tourism Office, Department of Transportation Cordillera, Land Transportation Office led by R. Tubania, and the offices of the Vice Mayor of Baguio City and MLuhiller.

Their collective effort ensures the Lucky Summer Visitors receive a truly royal treatment. Pugo Mayor Kurt Walter Martin was represented by thei Municipal Information and Tourism Officer Evelyn L. Takio in his stead. Takio expressed heartfelt thanks to BCBC for its continuous role in boosting local tourism and community spirit, highlighting how such programs help showcase Pugo’s rich culture and adventure offerings. From Pugo, the lucky seven are now en route to Tuba, Benguet, where Mayor Clarita Sal-ongan awaits with a short but sweet welcoming program. Their four-day itinerary promises a feast of Cordillera’s best: from strawberry picking and visits to Polig’s Berry Farm and Beacon Hill, to exclusive tours of cultural sites and eco-adventures.
