Baguio big-time drug boss collapses to death while being caught for carnapping

BAGUIO CITY (June 4, 2022)— A big-time drug boss in the city collapsed to death while being caught for carnapping Friday afternoon at Ridgewood Subdivision, San Luis Village here.
Abdullah Abdulrahman alias “Abdul Fabregas Abdullahi”, “Abdulrahman Fabregas Abdullahi” and “Negro”, 30, a half-Somali Ifugao,  was being served a warrant of arrest for carnapping at around 3 PM Friday when all of a sudden dropped to the ground.
The Baguio City police said operatives armed with a Warrant of Arrest issued on May 6, 2022, by Judge Cecilia Corazon Sumcad Dulay-Archog, Regional Trial Court, Branch 7, Baguio City for Violation of the New Anti-Carnapping Law of 2016 (RA 10883) under CC No. 45441-R with a bail of P300,000.00 and Warrant of Arrest issued on May 5, 2022, by Judge Jeanylene Tolentino Isip-Fukai, MTCC, Branch 5, Baguio City for Falsification of Private Document under CC No. 317-22-CR-MTCC with a bail of P36,000.00 when he allegedly tried to break free from the policemen and collapsed.
He was rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) but died more than two hours after.  According to the attending physician, Abdullahi had GCS3, fixed dilated pupils, unreactive to light, and positive abrasion on the left frontal and parietal area.
Although CPR was administered and was intubated with 10 doses of epinephrine, no return of circulation was observed in him.
Sudden cardiac death secondary to acute M.I t/c substance-induced cardiomyopathy was what the physician termed the cause of Abdullahi’s death.
In June 2020, Abdullahi with another drug personality was subjected to a manhunt after they engaged PDEA agents in a gun battle to evade arrest from a foiled drug sting.  Days later, he surrendered to Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong through the Baguio City police after feeling the pressure.
He though managed to post bail on child abuse
charges while his rape case was dismissed after his victim never showed up in court.

Abdullahi, according to the PDEA, was a known big-time drug dealer who was smuggling shabu from nearby provinces to the city and other places before his surrender in 2020.
