Beyond the call of duty, Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) along with police trainees rendered extra service to four public schools as their contribution to the Brigada Eskwela 2023 “Bayanihan para sa Matatag na Paaralan” in Baguio City on, August 14. BCPO personnel served the following schools: San Vicente Elementary School, Doña Aurora Elementary School, KIAS Elementary School, and Baguio Central School.

In support of this annual endeavor of the Department of Education (DepEd), BAGUIO’s FINEST were set to provide manpower and services in different public schools to clean, repaint, and repair the school buildings, aside from giving security for the opening of classes this coming August 29 for the school year 2023- 2024. Meanwhile, police stations have ongoing mobile and foot patrols along major routes and highways leading to campuses to ensure the safety and orderliness within the schools.

Police Assistance Desks would be set up near the entrances of school campuses nationwide in coordination with DepEd officials. The annual Operation Brigada Eskwela is a clean-up drive program initiated by the DepEd and a nationwide voluntary effort of teachers, parents, students, community members, the PNP, and other organizations to do minor repairs and cleaning of schools
in preparation for the start of the school year.
