BENGUET 1ST ENG’G DISTRICT-DPWH FAST-TRACKS SCHOOL BLDG PROJECTS

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet

The Benguet 1st Engineering District-DPWH has accelerated the construction of four school building projects with total allocation worth P111.5 million. In a report to Engr. Isagani Cayme, District Engr of the Benguet 1st Engineering District-DPWH by Engr. Loida Acosta, Construction chief of said agency , a total of 33 classrooms are spread in four school building projects located in different areas. In fact, a 4-storey school building with 10 classrooms at Ambiong National High School in this town is set for inauguration. A science laboratory room included.

The other school building projects are :3-storey 13 classroom in Ambangeg Nat’l High School in Barangay Daklan, Bokod worth P40M ; 2- storey four classroom in Liang Primary School in Brgy. Loacan,Itogon (P10M) ; and a 2-storey six classroom in Indaoac Elementary, Brgy
Tabaan Sur,Tuba. For 2025, three other school buildings, each with five classrooms with total allocation of P60 million are set for construction. Namely—Tocno Integrated School in Brgy. Loacan,Itogon; Tuba Central National High School in Poblacion Tuba;and Virac Integrated School in Virac, Itogon.

To mitigate Climate change, out of the 10 control projects for CY 2024 with total allocation of P826 million, the agency has completed seven spread in Tuba,La Trinidad, Bokod, Sablan, and Kabayan. Three other flood control projects still on going- located in Tuba, Sablan and La Trinidad. For this year (2025), six flood control projects with almost half billion pesos budget are under construction along sections of Agno River-Ambalanga River in Itogon and Bokod; Baung River -Bolo Creek in La Trinidad ,among others.
