BENGUET CELEBRATES 49th NUTRITION MONTH

“Good nutrition is a prerequisite to good health”, says Imelda P. Olatic-Degay during the 49th Nutrition Month Celebration held at the Ben Palispis Hall, Provincial Capitol, La Trinidad. With the theme “Healthy diet, gawing affordable for all”, the Provincial Health Office thru its Nutrition Program spearheaded the celebration with Imelda P. Olatic-Degay as Guest of Honor and Speaker. Highlights of the activity include Nutri-booth and Nutri-Cooking contests participated by representatives from the various Municipal Local Government Units to include the Municipal
Nutrition Actions Officers and Barangay Nutrition Scholars.

The activity was graced by Hon. Melchor Daguines Diclas, Provincial Governor. In his message, he ensured continued support to the Nutrition Program thru the Provincial Government’s various offices providing services and interventions to the community. He assured that numerous programs are in place to help alleviate the prevalence of stunting and malnutrition in the province. Dr. Meliarazon F. Dulay, Acting Provincial Health Officer II, Dr. Andrew Chamson M. Bacuso, Medical Specialist II, and Dr. Ryan C. Guinaran, Executive Assistant, likewise participated in the celebration.
