Benguet Farmers center catches fire for the 2nd time

BAGUIO CITY (April 16, 2022) –  A freak fire that was reportedly prompted by a gas tank explosion early Saturday morning gutted several stalls at the Farmers’ Commodities and Small Medium Enterprises (SME) in Puguis, La Trinidad, Benguet.

Already the second time that the Farmers’ center caught fire, the first incident being on March 25, 2022, a loud explosion was reportedly heard at around 12:55 AM (April 16, 2022) starting a fire that swiftly spread in several stalls.

Firefighters as far as Baguio City came for help in dousing the fire and declared a fire out thirty minutes later.

Initial reports said nine stalls and two vehicles were razed while the actual cost of damages and the real cause of the fire have yet to be ascertained.

On March 25, 2022, a fire broke out in the same area where ten stalls were burned reaching total damages of P30 million.
