Benguet Governor Melchor Diclas and Benguet General Hospital Medical Chief Dr. Meliarazon Dulay with the officials and representatives of the League of Association at the La Trinidad Vegetable Trading Area led by Benguet Vegetable Truckers and Traders Association President Rodolfo Bulawan and High Land Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative Manager Agot Balanoy held a meeting dialogue to discuss the plight and request of the vegetable industry players on the recently implemented stricter border control on Thursday, September 23, 2021.
Both parties agreed on several terms to ensure delivery of highland vegetables in Metro Manila and other market and at the same time maintain safety against the COVID-19 in the province such as the longer validity of the RT PCR negative test results from 72 hours to seven days and the vaccination of the stakeholders at the La Trinidad Vegetable Trading Post.
