LA TRINIDAD, Benguet
Mt. Yangbew, a popular hiking destination in Barangay Tawang, has recently undergone a series of improvements, enhancing its appeal to both tourists and local visitors. Renowned for its panoramic sea of clouds and accessible trails, the mountain now features a notable new
attraction: the Mt. Yangboat— a large, wooden boat-shaped structure installed at one of the peak’s main viewing points. Positioned against the backdrop of the Cordillera Mountain range, the Yangboat offers expansive views and has quickly become a visual highlight for trekkers and photographers.
Adjacent to the structure is a newly opened café, offering a selection of hot coffee, chocolate drinks, and light snacks. Designed with native
and rustic elements, the café provides both indoor and outdoor seating, allowing guests to enjoy the mountain’s cool breeze and scenic landscape. The recent enhancements aim to improve the visitor experience without compromising the natural charm of the site. Additional features include wooden signages, improved trail safety measures, and designated rest stops to accommodate increasing foot
traffic. Works aims to support the promotion of sustainable tourism, while also showcasing local creativity and efforts to preserve the natural environment. Whether a first-time visitor or a returning hiker, Mt. Yangbew now offers a refreshed experience—one that blends
nature, relaxation, and creativity.
