BUGUIAS THE LAND OF “PATATAS”

“The Municipality of Buguias is well known for its Potatoes and it is so amazing that “Buguias patatas” for its known huge harvest throughout the year being distributed in various restaurants to have your favorite “French fries.”
A group of Potato Farmers in Brgy. Loo Buguias, Benguet was happy and glad to meet Marie Rose Fongwan -Kepes who have the heart of helping the Livelihood of the Women group of Buguias.
Marketing strategies are very important to them as one younger farmer said “Ayy Salamat ah ta inmali kayo, ta matulungan da kami” as they wish that with this simple way of promoting their products to various market outlets.
Potato Farmers appreciate for taking the time to listen to their concerns. Since the pandemic the sale of potatoes went down wherein farmers have been greatly affected in daily earnings.
