Despite Covid-19 pandemic, Cabiten National High School (CNHS) welcomed three male practice teachers from Benguet State University, Buguias Campus on Jan. 18. Since face-to-face instruction is suspended by Department of Education for this school year, the student teachers namely Robel P. Bacasen, Jomar D. Patiang and Chris P. Tipal shall indulge on blended learning modality through Self-Learning Modules (SLM), TV instructions, and Radio Broadcasting instruction before actualization with the guidance of their critic teachers.
For them to be equipped and prepared for the current learning modality, the student teachers underwent LAC Session on digital skills like ebook maker, cartoon maker and puzzle maker. These skills are essential in developing digital inter-active lessons to deliver quality education while the world is experiencing Covid-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, practice teaching is a requirement in education course in which a student is required to undergo off-campus real-classroom teaching experience before graduation. In the case of Benguet State University campuses, student teachers are deployed to different public and private partner schools in Baguio and Benguet for at least one semester.
School Head Fausto Sr. L. Sab-it and Master Teacher I Fidel B. Aguindang led the CNHS in welcoming and training the student teachers before they assigned their work stations and teaching loads.
