Police Lieutenant Colonel Avelino Garrido Jr., the acting chief of the Cordillera Administrative Region Training Center (CARTC), lead the Welcome Opening Ceremony for the Public Safety Junior Leadership Course (PSJLC) Batch 2023-02, Class Alpha and Bravo, in the CARTC MultiPurpose Hall at Teachers Camp last August 8. The CARTC started the opening ceremony in addition to the Orientation for the said training institute. According to Police Lieutenant Bernard
Briones, the opening ceremony is offered for mandatory courses.

Meaning all of the police students assigned to different units in the Cordilleras will have to undergo Public Safety Leadership Courses as a mandatory requirement for their career development
particularly for their promotion. He also stated that they are following the Master Education Training Program for the PNP to know who particularly needs it to be the ones who are going to be
introduced to take the course.

The orientation pertains to the guidelines, rules, and regulations to be followed while undergoing the said course. In addition to the regimented policy where they have to oblige in order to attain a
certain understanding of the discipline in accordance with the CARTC hashtag, “ the molder of the most Discipline Camps in the Philippines”.
