The Commission on Elections and the Polie Regional Office-Cordillera start the implementation of gun ban on August 28,2023 as the Barangay and SK election is coming up this October 31, 2023. The Comelec checkpoint led by Lawyer Julius Torres Regional Director of Comelec-CAR , Brig.Gen. David Peredo of PRO-COR mark the beginning of the election period. The police were asked to
be courteous in implementing the visual checking of the vehicles and always follow the protocol and guidelines. The Comelec checkpoints will run 12 times in a day without specific times and locations until the end of the election period on November 30, 2023.
