LINGAYEN, PANGASINAN – Nakapagtala ang Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) ng 483 krimen mula Enero hanggang Setyembre ngayong taon, na 33 porsyentong mas mababa mula sa 720 krimen na naitala sa parehong panahon noong nakaraang taon.
Karamihan sa mga naitalang krimen, o 468 cases, ay naresolba na humantong sa pag-aresto ng 817 na supek, ayon kay Chief Insp. Norman Florentino, PPPO community relations officer.
Ayon kay Florentino, kaharamihan ng mga krimeng naitala ngayong taon ay sangkot ang mga vehicular traffic accidents kasunod ng physical injuries.
“The drop in crime rate was due to police interventions, such as the simultaneous implementation of police operations against loose firearms and drugs, arrest of wanted persons, and implementation of municipal and local ordinances. Also, the conduct of regular patrol, checkpoint or Oplan Sita, and the implementation of search warrants,” aniya.
Nagsagawa ang Pangasinan police ng 9,520 operations kaugnay ng Oplan Sita at Oplan Katok ngayong taon, ani Florentino, at nakakumpiska ng 12 firearms at 13 katao ang arestado.
Sa kampanya kontra illegal drugs, ang PPPO ay mayroong 626 operations na nakahuli ng 664 katao, 208.192 gramo ng hinihinalang shabu at 5,183.051 gramo ng marijuana ang nakumpiska mula Hulyo 12 hanggang Oktubre 2.
“The total market value of the drugs yielded in our operations amounts to P1.85 million,” ani Florentino.
