Confiscated weighing scales were crushed using a road compactor at the Baguio City Public Market on March 15, 2021.
Baguio City Market Supervisor Fernando D. Ragma, Jr. led the activity and witnessed by Mayor Benjamin Magalong with City Administrator Bonifacio Dela Peña, Assistant Treasurer Ponciano G. De Jesus, BAMARVEMPCO Representative Wilhemina Duguis, and members of the media.
A total of 1,372 weighing scales were confiscated through the years while 5,383 weighing scales were calibrated from May 2020 to the present.
