DAR, namahagi ng land titles sa 155 magsasaka sa Pangasinan
STA. BARBARA, PANGASINAN – Natanggap ng halos 155 benepisyaryo ang kanilang certificate of land ownership o land title mula sa Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) sa Farmer’s Pavilion, sa bayan na ito noong Mayo 10, 2018.
Sa panayam kay DAR Undersecretary Karlo Bello, sinabi nito na ang pagkuha ng lupa at pamamahagi, lalo na ang individual land ownership, ay naglalayong bigyan ng kapangyarihan ang magsasaka.
“Before, land distribution was through cooperatives or the collective land ownership but it became a source of conflict among farmers in some regions,” ani Bello.
Inatasan ni President Rodrigo Duterte ang DAR na mamahagi ng certificates isa-isa “so the farmers can exercise ownership on their own property,” dagdag niya.
Maliban sa pagbibigay sa bawat benepisyaryong magsasaka ng indibidwal na land title, nag-aalok din ng suportang serbisyo ang DAR.
“After the land acquisition and distribution, we concentrate on support services to the farmers through their agrarian reform cooperatives, like providing them farm materials, micro-financing, fertilizers among others, to ensure our farmers will continue to till the land,” ani Bello.
Inihayag ni Provincial agrarian reform officer Maria Ana Francisco na ang land area na ipinamahagi sa mga benepisyaryo ay sa pagitan ng 0.5 ektarya hanggang 0.75 ektarya.
Mayroong 82,089.98 hectares sa 83,694.55 na kabuuang agrarian land sa Pangasinan ang naipamahagi na sa 78,196 benepisyaryo hanggang Marso ngayong taon.
