DRUG RAID IN IFUGAO YIELDS ILLEGAL GUN TOO

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Ifugao agents with local policemen took a drug trafficker to face illegal drugs and illegal gun charges
after raiding his home Saturday, April 12, 2025, in Barangay Panopdopan, Lamut town in Ifugao. Aside from the 2.5 grams of crystal meth or shabu worth P17,000.00 and various drug paraphernalia seized from the suspect, whose identity was not released yet by authorities, a
Caliber .45 pistol was also found at his house. Dawn Saturday too, four suspects who were tipped off by their neighbors were caught and 10 grams of crystal meth valued at P68,000.00 were seized in Brgy. San Vicente, Baguio City.
PDEA Cordillera director Derrick Arnold Carreon said operatives caught the four after one of them sold a sachet containing 5 grams of crystal meth to an undercover agent. Three more sachets of shabu, weighing around 5 grams, along with drug paraphernalia, were seized from the group. Carreon partially identified two of the suspects as residents of Baguio City, while the other two are from Itogon and Tuba in Benguet.
