The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) is set to deliver transformative support to Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) in the Cordillera region through the distribution of Certificates of Condonation and Release of Mortgage (COCROM), Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs), individual e-titles, farm machinery, and infrastructure assistance. The event, taking place in Tabuk, Kalinga, on December 6, 2024 highlights DAR’s commitment to alleviating farmers’ financial burdens and boosting their productivity.
COCROM certificates will provide debt relief, while farm machinery, solar irrigation systems, and farm-to-market roads aim to enhance agricultural efficiency and elevate farmers’ incomes. Led by DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III, Senator Imee R. Marcos, Regional Director Samuel S. Solomero, Presidential Assistant for the Cordillera Region- Antonio Tabora Jr., Assistant Secretary Atty. Eugene P. Follante, Assistant Secretary Rodolfo Castil Jr. and other national and regional officials, the program will benefit over 2,000 ARBs, with Kalinga Province having the highest number of recipients for COCROM. This initiative reinforces DAR’s mission to empower Filipino farmers, promote equitable land ownership and agricultural productivity.
